  • You will know the sequential steps on how to write & publish a children’s book.

  • You will learn how to find & hire editors and Illustrators for your book.

  • You will know the significance of a storyboard and how to develop one.

  • You will know the best practices to determine your book's title, size, and sale price.

  • You will know where to purchase an ISBN, book barcode, and copyright for your book.

  • You will know the top 5 printing companies to choose from.

  • You will learn how to upload your PDF files to print for publication.

  • You will have completed two assignments throughout the course.


You will have 2 Assignments to complete throughout the course: 


  • Assignment 1: Develop the Characters of Your Book

    • For this assignment, you will reflect on a series of questions to help you to develop characters for your book.

  • Assignment 2: Book Blurb Development

    • For this assignment, you will begin writing and developing a short yet descriptive synopsis of your book. The blurb is what goes on the back cover of your book. In this assignment, you will convey the book's selling points to readers, include characters, develop a pitch for your book, and aim for 150 words.
